Insurers We Work With

We work with a variety of Insurers but here are a few of our most popular.

Available RV and Trailer Insurance Coverages

Liability

Liability coverage protects you financially if you were to hurt someone or damage their property (usually their car).  If you run out of liability coverage, your assets (including the equity in your home) and future earnings are put at risk.  We recommend liability limits under a motorhome insurance policy of at least $250,000 per person, $500,000 per occurrence, and $100,000 property damage.  This would cover the vast majority of accidents, and help to prevent a situation where you run out of coverage and must pay out of pocket.

Underinsured Motorist

Underinsured motorist coverage provides coverage for your RV and for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain & suffering if you were hit by someone that was uninsured or underinsured.  Estimates are that about one in five drivers in Washington is uninsured, and many more are underinsured (carry low coverage limits.)  You might have good health insurance, and you might even have disability insurance, but it is rare for someone to have coverage for pain and suffering outside of an auto insurance policy, and most would want ample compensation if they were, say, permanently disabled by an underinsured driver.  We recommend underinsured motorist bodily injury limits under motorhome insurance of at least $250,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence.

Medical

Medical coverage, offered under motorhome insurance, covers medical expenses, however medical expenses are already covered under health insurance. We consider medical coverage to be optional for those with good health insurance.

Comprehensive

Comprehensive coverage covers your vehicle for just about everything outside of a collision, including theft, vandalism, fire, falling objects, glass damage, and accidents with animals.  Many choose a lower comprehensive deductible on RV or trailer insurance, since these incidents are out of your control and comprehensive coverage is relatively inexpensive.

Collision

Collision coverage covers your vehicle after an accident.  It is important to note that if you are struck by another vehicle, your vehicle should be covered by their liability coverage or your underinsured motorist coverage.  Therefore you typically only pay your collision deductible if you cause the accident, and for that reason, many choose a higher collision deductible on their RV or trailer insurance policy in order to lower the premium.

Towing

Lock your keys out?  Run out of gas?  Get a flat?  Break down?  This is all covered by towing coverage, which is especially important with trailer and RV insurance, since towing can be expensive.

Emergency and Additional Living Expense

Emergency and additional living expense coverages, offered under RV and trailer insurance, cover temporary housing, travel expenses, and costs to return the RV/Trailer.

Full-Timer and Vacation Liability

Full-timer and vacation liability coverages protect you financially if you are held responsible for injuries at the site at which the RV/Trailer is parked.  It provides the same coverage you would find on a home insurance policy, but on a RV insurance policy.

Total Loss Settlement

Typically RV and trailer policies pay actual cash value after a total loss, which would generally only be enough to replace the RV or trailer with a used model.  Total loss settlement coverage pays to replaces the RV or trailer with one of like kind and quality that is brand new after a total loss.

Adjacent Structures

Adjacent structures coverage, available under trailer and RV insurance, covers structures at the site at which the RV/Trailer is parked.
