Greater Seattle Motorcycle Insurance

Great Rates, Service and Coverage From Reputable Insurers.

Hitting the open road has appeal, but also has risk.

You may be experienced, but you cannot control the other driver, who could be underinsured or leave the scene after an accident.  We, therefore, offer robust motorcycle coverage to ensure your motorcycle as well as your medical expenses, lost wages, and pain & suffering are covered.  We also offer more basic coverage for those on a tight budget.  Motorcycle insurance policies start at about $10 per month.

Insurers We Work With

We work with a variety of Insurers but here are a few of our most popular.

Available Motorcycle Insurance Coverages

Liability

Liability coverage protects you financially if you were to hurt someone or damage their property (usually their car).  If you run out of coverage, your assets (including the equity in your home) and future earnings are put at risk.  We recommend liability limits of at least $250,000 per person, $500,000 per occurrence, and $100,000 property damage.  This would cover the vast majority of accidents, and help to prevent a situation where you run out of coverage and must pay out of pocket.  Liability coverage on a motorcycle insurance policy is inexpensive.

Underinsured Motorist

Underinsured motorist coverage provides coverage for your vehicle and for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain & suffering if you were hit by someone that was uninsured or underinsured.  Estimates are that about one in five drivers in Washington is uninsured, and many more are underinsured (carry low coverage limits.)  You might have good health insurance, and you might even have disability insurance, but it is rare for someone to have coverage for pain and suffering outside of an auto or motorcycle insurance policy, and most would want ample compensation if they were, say, permanently disabled by an underinsured driver.  We recommend underinsured motorist bodily injury limits of at least $250,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence.  Underinsured motorist coverage can be expensive on motorcycles due to the fact that motorcyclists are more likely to be the victim of a hit-and-run and/or seriously injured by an underinsured driver.

Medical

Medical coverage covers medical expenses, however medical expenses are already covered under health insurance. We therefore consider medical coverage to be optional under motorcycle insurance for those with good health insurance.

Comprehensive

Comprehensive coverage covers your motorcycle for just about everything outside of a collision, including theft, vandalism, fire, falling objects, and accidents with animals.  Many choose a lower comprehensive deductible on their motorcycle insurance since these incidents are out of your control and comprehensive coverage is relatively inexpensive.

Collision

Collision coverage covers your motorcycle after an accident.  It is important to note that if you are struck by another vehicle, your motorcycle should be covered by their liability coverage or your underinsured motorist coverage.  Therefore you typically only pay your collision deductible if you cause the accident, and for that reason, many choose a higher deductible on their motorcycle insurance in order to lower their premium.
